Steve and Steph get married and I get a new sister

Steve and Steph got married at Little Lake Park in Midland on August 8th. This wedding was very special since Steve is my brother and Stephanie is now my sister-in-law! As soon as they announced they were getting married, I knew we would be taking their wedding pictures, heck, we took their engagement pictures before they were even engaged! Certainly no other photographer would want to shoot my brother's wedding with me looking over their shoulder :) I realized after I got some of my favourite wedding pictures at my cousin's wedding (even though I wasn't the "official" photographer) that I am much happier shooting a wedding than watching the moments pass by without recording them. I'm not going to lie, there was a lot of pressure, but it was worth it! I think Rich and I got some amazing shots. Rich was a rock when the pressure was getting to me and he was a calm strength organizing my large unruly family and an exuberant wedding party. We took Steve and Steph to a little park on the Wye River where we made full use of the wealth of interesting backdrops. Steve and Steph were so easy to work with. They have a natural and unselfconscious chemistry between them which they express freely. We could just set them up and snap away while they "dug" each other with very little direction needed. The reception was just as fun to shoot. The bride and groom entered with a dance routine choreographed by Stephanie, the best man's speech was the most entertaining one I have ever heard and our photo booth was a huge success.
