As much as we enjoy travelling to shoot weddings there is a certain comfort to be had shooting a wedding in your own back yard. The Village at Blue does a great job with weddings, it has to be said - the food is always great, the service friendly and there's no issues with having to drive home for the guests as the place is self contained.  Oh and did I mention it's also really pretty which makes for great photographs.

Allyson and Neil were married at St Mary's Church in Collingwood before heading over to the Village for their reception. Neil's is a fire fighter from Hamilton who started his career in Wasaga Beach and so the vintage fire truck from Wasaga made an appearance...   Allyson and Neil have been together for a while and whilst we didn't have time to do a pre-wedding shoot it was evident from the short time we spent photographing them they have great chemistry and a long and happy future ahead of them. Occasionally we shoot small weddings - Katie and Jerry were married in their back yard up on the escarpment, just outside of Collingwood.  It was a hot muggy afternoon but no rain.  It's rare that when editing a wedding I find myself smiling all the way through the process as I did when editing these images.  Katie & Jerry didn't stop smiling all though the shoot... a pretty good indication of how they felt.
